Lost Keys

Its the trivial things in life that make my faith grow. I lost a set of keys last December. I searched everywhere. I just could not find it. This nagging question surface again and again. Should I pray for it. Its no big deal replacing those keys. It would cost me $15.00 which I can easily afford. But, you see, I am suppose to encourage people to pray. And I have been telling people that there is nothing too small for God. So I prayed saying "God, I know this is a small thing, but if you would let me find those keys because I prayed, this will help my faith grow. Not because of the keys but because my faith is at stake here. Please let me find it. That way, I can affirm to people that God is faithful and that there is nothing too small for God and that God really cares about the little things in our lives". Months went by, nothing happened. This thing really bugged me not because I lost the keys but because I prayed and I am waiting to see how God is going to respond. What am I going to say to the people I am encouraging to pray? March 14, as I was cleaning out my wardrobe, I found the keys in the pocket of one of my old pants. Yeeeaaah! God answered my prayer. God is awesome. "If you abide in me and my words abide in you...." lately, more and more of my prayers are being answered. His time, His way. I am beginning to have faith - faith that comes through His words. My faith is growing. This is just the beginning.

Prayer...is communication with the LORD...the LORD is infinite in HIS mercy and grace. I have prayed for LOST items..and the LORD was and still is faithful to help me. Today I was asked to pray for a nephew of one of my H.A.B.F. partners...the nephew was severly injured in Afghanistan by a bomb placed by pro-Taliban fighters. As I read the newspaper today...we see another brave U.S. Marine from Richfield died from a Taliban attack. I pray for protection, that GOD will heal the wounded and bring our Christian troops home to their families. There is so much to pray about...as a PRAYER PARTNER...I enjoy time of prayer always whether for something small or great...I am blessed knowing our FATHER in heaven hears our prayers.
We know the LORD Jesus Christ of Nazareth, prayed in JOHN Chapter 17 for HIS ministry and for His Disciples and for All believers...
I hope we all keep that chapter in mind as we see how GOD longs to hear our prayers.
